Put on your dancing shoes and make your way to the 100 block of S. Main Street for a summer evening of fantastic tunes. The Lindsborg Street Dance features King Midas and the Muflers, a crowd favorite. Bring your own lawn chair. Dance if you like, or simply kick back and enjoy an evening under the stars.
Music starts at 8:00 pm.
Appreciation goes out to goes out to the businesses of Lindsborg for sponsoring this free event open to the public. Öl Stuga, Lindsborg Community Hospital, McPherson County Community Foundation, Fuqua Insurance Group, First Bank Kansas, Farmers State Bank, Hemslöjd, Peoples Bank and Trust, and The Bank of Tescott.
Smoky Valley After Prom will be having their 8th annual barbecue competition the afternoon of the dance. Competitors will be downtown all day on Saturday smoking their pork for a team of local celebrities to judge that evening.
All pulled pork from the competition will be used to serve a sandwich meal to the public for $10 a plate, at 6:00 pm - 7:30pm. Pick up meals in front of the Senior Center at 116 S. Main Street.
After Prom provides a safe place for students to come once prom is over. Games and fun are provided in a supervised environment. Funds raised are used for expenses such as prizes and snacks for the event.
